Services:  A medically-oriented comprehensive rehabilitation hospital providing services to severely injured and chronically disabled adults.  Programs include:  stroke, amputee, spinal cord, general rehabilitation, chronic pain, head injury, hand rehabilitation, and occupational health and rehabilitation services.  A total person approach is used in helping patients achieve their maximum level of independence through diagnosis and treatment by a team of specialists, including medical, nursing, physical, and occupational therapies, communication skills, speech/language and audiology, social service, psychology, vocational and educational services, driver evaluation and training, recreational therapy, nutritional services, orthotics and prosthetics, home management, and patient/family education.  Programs for stroke patients:  mid-life program provides return-to-work services and special counseling; elder stroke program enables patients to return to a level of independence at home.  Films, literature, newsletter, meeting rooms, speakers, and consultation available.

Services:   Comprehensive Psychiatric Services:  19 adolescent and adult in-patient beds; 12 geriatric beds; individualized treatment planning; dual diagnosis services; individual, small group and activity recreational therapy daily; medication management and education; family education and support; discharge planning and comprehensive continuum of care planning; accepts payment from Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, commercial insurers and most local managed care organizations; JCAHO accredited.

Transition Partial Hospitalization Program for Older Adults:  A viable, cost effective alternative to inpatient psychiatric treatment for people 55 or over who have serious emotional/medical disorders requiring intensive treatment but not 24-hour per day supervision.  Participants must be medically stable, demonstrate the ability to access activities with minimal assistance, and have the potential to make significant practical improvement in a reasonable amount of time.
