Services:  Waynesburg College is a private, co-educational, Liberal Arts institution related to the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Founded in 1849, the college offers degrees in more than 30 majors including education, nursing, and business administration.  Waynesburg College also offers a Masters' Degree in Business Administration.

Services:  Acute inpatient hospitalization, outpatient and emergency medical services, home care, social service, chronic dialysis, diabetes education, and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.  Literature, films, meeting rooms, speakers, training, neuroncology and bone marrow transplant, Maternity Family Center, and Burn Trauma Unit.

Services:  West Virginia Career Institute's new 4.5 acre campus includes free private parking, an up-to-date medical lab, computer lab, student resource center, land student services department located in the new campus building. Student Services include student work study jobs, externships, and comprehensive job placement assistance.  Free refresher training and continuing job placement service is available to all graduates.

Services:  Established in 1867, West Virginia University is one of 39 public universities serving their states as research and land-grant institutions.  Fifteen colleges and schools offer 176 bachelor's, master's, doctoral and professional degrees ranging from philosophy to computer science.

Services:  376 bed tertiary care teaching hospital.  John Michael Trauma Center, Physician Office Center, and Children's Hospital - outpatient care, 20 bed skilled nursing unit, and Ruby Memorial Hospital.  These among others are all a part of the Health Sciences Center.

Services:   The Western Pennsylvania Caring Foundation is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization which sponsors or administers the following programs/services:

Caring Program for Children and BlueCHIP: These programs provide free, low cost, and direct pay health care coverage for Western Pennsylvania children up to age 19 who are uninsured and not eligble for Medical Assistance.  Free coverage is available for families whose incomes are above the medical assistance level, yet below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.  Low cost coverage is offered to families qhose incomes are between 200% and 235% of the same guidelines.  Direct pay is for all others.

The Caring Place: This new program is dedicated to children who are grieving the death of a close loved one.  It provides group support (not therapy or treatment) for these children and their parents.  The Caring Place also serves as a resource for care-givers and communities as well.

Services:  Westmoreland County Community College is a two-year "open door" college located in Southwestern Pennsylvania offering associate degrees, diplomas, and certificate programs in 50+ areas of study.  Continuing education programs for children, older adults, and the public are also conducted, as well as customized job training through the Business & Industry Center.

Services:  Volunteer Coordination Program, Risk Assessment Management, Families & Schools Together, Project Connect, RAMP Program, $ Energy, Life skills, Head Start, Food Bank, Early Head Start, Family preservation, Crisis Intervention Hotline,  Human Services Development Fund, Low Income Home Ownership Program.  Focus on Fathers program, Supervised Custody Visitation Program, MHMR Crisis Mobile Program, MH/MR Residential Program, and Enhanced Community Res. Rehabilitation.

Services:  Westmoreland Regional Hospital is the largest in Westmoreland County providing a wide range of services from minor health care needs to highly specialized regional care.  Comprehensive  Cancer Care Center, complete cardiac care including open-heart surgery, Emergency-Trauma Unit, OB/GYN services with 24 hour a day special care nursery, mental health services, Gateway Rehabilitation Center (Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation), and more.
