Services Provided:

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners is involved with the following county agencies: Tax Assessment Office, Election Bureau, Office of Emergency Management, Planning Commission, Public Defender, Sealer of Weights and Measures, Tax Claim Bureau, Veterans Affairs, Zoning Office, Bridge Department, Children and Youth Services, Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program Office, and Drug and Alcohol Commisstion. The Board is also involved with the Human Service Development Fund, Fayette County Prison Board, and Fayette County Retirement Board. The Board contracts with the state for transportation programs, and the State and Federal Governments for the food commodity programs which are handled by the Human Services Director.
