February The Food Bank is "Kicking off" the 17th annual "Souper" Bowl of Caring fundraiser. This event will be held on Sunday February 3rd. The foodbank is asking local churches, busineses and clubs to participate by asking each member to donate $1.00 to help end hunger in our area. March The food bank will be having it's annual Spring Appeal through the month of April. In conjunction with the Feinstein challenge, all donations received between March 1, 2008 and April 30th 2008 will be matched dollar for dollar by the Feinstein Challenge. Make your dollar worth twice the amount by donating to the foodbank.
The 29th and 30th will be our 5K weekend. We will have the Senior Stride with Pride and the NFP Diaper Derby on Saturday and the 5K Run/Walk on Sunday. Click on each event listed on the side bar for details. Please call 724-437-6050 ext. 4245 for more information.
ORECK Sweeper will be sponsoring a party for the Food Bank on Thursday March 20th from 1:00—2:00. A percent of the proceeds benefit the food bank

This spring when your planting your gardens, won’t you plant a row for the hungry? If you have a garden, small or large, consider planting an extra row and donate that food to our food bank. Call ext. 1264 for details.

Dr. Harvey Karp's Happy Baby Class will be presented by WIC staff for WIC participants and perspective WIC participants. Class will be on May 30 from 10:30 - noon in conference room 2 in the FCCAA Administrative building at 108 N. June: June 21, 2008from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, the Family Fun Fest will be held at the Fayette Co. Fairground. This is the 10th year for the festival. It is a totally free day, and everyone attending will get a ticket for a free hot dog and free drink. It is sponsored by the Human Services Council and area human services agencies in an effort to create awareness of county agencies and services while offering a family fun day for all ages.
July: Tuesday July 29th will be Food Bank day at the Fayette County Fair. Bring 3 non perishable food items to the main gate on Tuesday the 29th from 10AM - 2 PM and receive free admission to the fair. Admission does NOT include the rides or the outdoor arena. Upgrades are available at the fair office.

November: Saturday November 15, 2008 Community Day Sale at the Bon Ton. Coupon books are available for $5 by calling Jamie at 724-437-6050 ext. 1264, the booklets benefit the Food Bank and include a coupon for $10 off any item $10 or more, plus an additional 20% off a single regular or sale price apparel, accessory, footwear, intimate apparel or fine jewelry.
