Operation of Services During COVID-19

FCCAA will continue to be open during this time, however some of our services and events have been modified, canceled, or postponed. Operation of services may change due to the impact of COVID-19, and below is a list to keep our community updated. Services may also contact clients individually to let them know service schedules and procedures. Women, Infants and Children (WIC): Brownsville and Masontown WIC Offices are temporarily closed. Clients are instructed to come to the Uniontown WIC Office at their regularly scheduled appointment to receive their benefits curbside. Clients will receive a phone call prior to their scheduled appointment.

Uniontown and Connellsville WIC Offices are open. The appointment will be conducted over the phone and food benefits will be issued curbside.

Clients are encouraged to call the Uniontown WIC Office with updated phone numbers or with any questions. 724-437-6050 ext. 3211.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program: The VITA free tax preparation site at Uniontown Mall is closed for the season.

Aging Services: The Uniontown Adult Recreation Center, Mountain Citizens Action Group, Bullskin Township Senior Center, and Fairchance Senior Center will be suspending operations of social and recreational activities until further notice.

Congregate meals will be available for pickup only from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Uniontown Adult Recreation Center Monday through Friday. Please call the senior center to reserve your meal, one day in advance, before 1:00pm.

Home Delivered Meals will continue. Hot meals will be served 3 days a week and frozen meals will be served 2 days a week.

Circles Laurel Highlands: Meetings will continue to be electronic. If you have questions, please contact Sue Ann 724-705-4054.

Food Bank and food pantries: The FCCAA Food Bank continues to deliver to food pantries, which are operating on the normal schedule. Some pantries operating as drive-through pantries, and if a pantry is interested in operating as a drive-through pantry, please contact David Bork, Food Bank Project Manager at 724-580-7001. Emergency food boxes: If someone is in need of an emergency food box, please contact Rita Masi, Director of Customer Service at 724-437-6050 ext. 3213.

Weekend Snack Pack Program: The FCCAA Food Bank will continue providing Weekend Snack Packs for school-aged youth. The scheduled distribution will be announced to participants.

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) will provide services and scheduled visits via telehealth. If a NFP client has a question, they can contact their Nurse Home Visitor.

Housing: Housing services are still available, but cases will be managed over the phone. If you have questions, please call 724-437-6050 ext. 3247.
